Inspirational Spoken Words

I know there are some things in life that you can't control and you feel overwhelmed.   So someone past this phrase to me that I would like to share to you.

"When life gives you a hundred reasons to CRY show life a thousand reasons to SMILE..."

I love that quote...

From my fellow readers!! ^_^

I posted a blog about handwashing and I wanted to share this because I have experienced this as well.

Yes Mannie I do. I was at Kroger one day and headed up the isle. This woman starts hackin up a lung. I mean seriously coughing. I look over at her and she is leaned over the meat chest..u know the open topped kind...hacking away while leaned over it. She never once turned around or covered her mouth. NASTY. Then I go to the next isle and before long I hear her coughing into the dang freezer..I mean OMG really?

Handwashing Please!!

I wish people learn basic stuff they were taught at home, school, church where ever!

Today I was out at Wally-World (Wal-Mart if you don't know what I mean) and I had to use the restroom.  The restroom was pack, not trying to count I would say about 5.  Out of those people that left the restroom, didn't wash their hands!! O_o

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!  I can say that I'm not a hygienist or any type of doctor, but clearly people, these people didn't wash their hands!!  Even if you are leaving the store, please wash your hands.  Because I never know if you are going back on the floor and grabbing vegetables and fruit from the produce area, or touching the WHATEVER IS IN THE STORE.  So do you have any horror stories similar to this?  Leave a comment below and share your stories with the world!

Veteran's Day

Today we celebrate those who served in the military past and present and give thanks for those who are serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, and various bases around the world and here in the United States.  From this blogger, I thank you for all you have done.

If you see someone in uniform, give them a handshake, hug, or maybe just a simple thank you to let them know that you care and appreciate all they have done.

Why I'm not surprised....

Constantly, I have been hearing reports about the allegations against Auburn QB Cameron Newton and the charges of academic cheating while he attended University of Florida and the so-called "Pay to Play" in MSU in 2009. To be honest with you and in my honest opinion, it doesn't surprise me, especially with the past and present scandals.  There has been quite a few scandals in the recent years, so why should we be surprised when ESPN or Yahoo Sports announced that this player for this university took money from this guy and had excessive gifts....ITS NOT GOING TO STOP!!  In my honest opinion, I feel that the universities thrive to bring these high profiled players into their schools, and for what reasons:  to make their football program great and thinking they can get away with it.

In the past, I was listening to "Mike & Mike Show" on ESPN Radio stating that there has been countless stories of "certain players" riding around in vehicles WAY past their dorm room budgets, jewelry, clothing and shoes, out of the blue!! It makes me wonder about with all the allegations of how the universities take this.  Deep down inside of me, I feel that they look at this as a business deal gone bad.  This is how I look at it(excuse the reference!!):

Player A a rated 5 star high school football player is watched by this Large University.

Player A wants to play close to home which you can't him because that where he has been all his life.

Player A is enticed by the "offers" that Large University has to offer, baits it, and commits to LU.

Player A gets a little flashy with his gifts, the school get investigated, LU gets caught with violations, get suspension.

LU DENIES ANY INVOLVEMENT OF THE ALLEGATIONS, saying they knew SOMETHINGS, but won't fully confess.

So why shouldn't America lose sleep because of the allegations?  Because IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!  Unless this situation is governed by someone other than the NCAA, it will happen again.  And we honestly can't sit this situation on the shoulder of the parent(s), because I can bet that majority of these players are from a one or two parent household that were living paycheck to paycheck (not trying to be bias or anything because I grew up inside a single parent household).  So any reason of doubt that you have believing that these universities had any involvement in the allegations, maybe you should think twice and look at this from a whole different perspective, because I feel that the universities look at this as a bad business deal gone bad.
